McAlester Public Schools is now accepting substitute application for the 2025–26 school year.

Motivate, inspire, and encourage MPS students by becoming a substitute teacher.  You will enjoy a flexible work schedule and the opportunity to teach a variety of subjects.

Getting started is easy. After turning in your application at Central Office, you will need to go through a fingerprint background check (fingerprint fee is responsibility of the applicant), complete new-hire documentation, attend substitute orientation, provide official transcripts, and approved identification (The list can be found on page 12 of the Form I-9 under the “Acceptable Documents” section in the Substitute Application).
